After attending the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for graphic design, Melissa relocated to Los Angeles where she began her career on-camera as a nationally televised commercial actress and Wilhelmina model.  During this time, Melissa and her partner developed a Junior driven apparel line which later developed into Melissa Meister Couture, sold exclusively in top boutiques in major cities across the US, such as Tracey Ross, Big Drop NY, Henri Bendel, and Fred Segal.

After several years of designing, Melissa refocused her line into creating custom pieces for high profile celebrities and musicians.  The success of her custom designs organically led Melissa into designing for award-winning independent films, primetime networks and cable television.

Melissa has designed and styled personalities such as Colin Farrell, Venus and Serena Williams, Taylor Swift, Kevin Garnett, Kevin Hart, The Dixie Chicks,  and CeeLo Green.  Melissa has also designed for top ad campaigns and global entertainment companies like Nike, Estee Lauder, Gatorade, Sony, Omega, Warner Bros. Pictures, HBO, ABC, FOX, ESPN, TLC, MTV, NBC, Universal Pictures, and Nickelodeon.

With great success in the mainstream, Melissa has taken a special interest in eco-development and its connection to fashion.  Melissa's passion towards global eco-awareness has coined her as the "first eco stylist".  For Melissa, this has brought forth a renewed commitment and excitement for her process and  designs.

Melissa’s passion towards lifestyle and what's for the "people" has motivated her to use her solid on-camera experience to cultivate awareness in the world of fashion, food, and art - using her online style forum the Style Station to do so.
